Norwegian synth-pop legends A-ha released their debut album forty years ago today.
Hunting High And Low kicks off with Take On Me, which is without question the band's most recognizable song. It's an incredible track, but if that's the only song that you know from this band, I urge you to take this opportunity to give the rest of the album a chance. It's an absolutely beautiful album from start to finish, and it's perfect to play when I'm driving late at night. The combination of Morten's voice, the guitar and synthesizers, the hum of the car, and the sparkles of light through the windshield is almost hypnotic, and it never fails to put my mind at ease and give me a sense of peace.
