The Life Of Chuck
Neon (2025)
It's only June, but I can't imagine a movie being released this year that is more worthy of best picture than this. This was outstanding.
The Life Of Chuck was directed by Mike Flanagan and is based on a story of the same name by Stephen King that appears in his 2020 collection of novellas, If It Bleeds. This is one of his few books that have come out over the past ten years that I haven't read yet. I'm going to have to check it out soon because if it's anywhere near as good as this movie, it's pretty special.
I don't want to say anything about the plot, but I strongly recommend that you don't look anything up ahead of time and that you go see it as soon as possible.
