It was 35 years ago this month that the Psychedelic Furs released their fifth studio album, Midnight To Midnight.

Although it isn't Richard Butler's favorite album, it was well received by critics.  It begins with my favorite song of the 1980's - Heartbreak Beat.  I can't explain what it is about this song that I love so much, but every time it comes on 1st Wave, it makes me want to close my eyes, forget about the outside world and escape into another world for five minutes.
