The movie that served as my introduction to the Askewniverse premiered in theaters thirty years ago. It was released on VHS and Laserdisc on March 26th, 1996. I'm guessing that I first saw it in April 1996 because it was still on the new release wall at Hollywood Video when I rented it. I had never heard of Clerks at the time, so this was the first Kevin Smith movie that I saw.
