Welcome Back, Uncle Charlie

The greatest manager in franchise history is back... as the hitting coach.  Charlie Manuel led the Phillies to five straight NL East Championship seasons from 2007 to 2011, which included a National League Championship in 2008 - 2009 and a World Series Championship in 2008.  He was abruptly (and unjustly) let go on August 16, 2013.  It is not an exaggeration to say that the 75 year old was the last successful manager the Phillies have had, present company included.

Charlie will take over for John Mallee who has been relieved of his duties, and not a moment too soon.
