Camel Man In The 40s

Hotel Claridge (1948)
Times Square - New York, NY
This is the famous Camel billboard on the Hotel Claridge on the southeast corner of Broadway and 44th Street in New York City.  The billboard was designed by Douglas Leigh and it was mounted on the hotel in 1941.  It included a steam generator so that the "Camel Man" blew smoke rings into the city.
