Ghost of Christmas Past

Until recently, West Hazleton put the town Christmas Tree up by the World War I memorial outside of Miner's Bank (now Citizens Bank).  This photo of the borough putting the star and the lights on the tree was taken in 1960.  If you look closely in the background (above the hood of the truck), you can see Justofin's Pharmacy with the Breyer's Ice Cream sign across Broad Street from the bank.
